2019- New Me, New Year... blah blah blah
So we are officially in 2019, and the constant talk of new me, new year sheninghans has begun.
You may be thinking I am quite pessimistic by my view of this, but we have been here before, every year.
And I think many of us have realised that there needs to be some changes when we make it into the new year. It is not the same old, oh I need to lose weight, by this end of which ever month I must of done this.
Some of the goals we want to achieve can be unrealistic especially if we put a tight deadlines on them, failure can be expected but it is not the end of the world.
The past few years I have given myself plans or goals to achieve by the end of the year, it might defeat the purpose because it gives one excuse to delay achieving a certain goal.
I am not a vision board type of person, but I do a list, that I revisit every couple of months to reminder myself what I wanted to work on.
Doing the work, such as saving up overtime for equipement, down payment on a car, or doing research on investments that can grow your money. By not adding added pressure, it takes me time to plan out, adding more work into the goals I want to achieve.
Quick results only satisfy you for so long, the ones that last are more likely to fulfil us more because they likely will have lasting results. Such as changing to a healthy lifestyle, eating more clean, trying new things, my body and skin has appreciated it greatly in the past few years.
My list of goals are simple, get the ground running, do as much as you can now, by getting to know business, write, write, write. Taking advice from anyone who is willing to give it and something that will be difficult, patience. Doing it on your own is hard.
And I will try not be too hard on myself, it is not easy when we go on social media and every post is someone taking a selfie of their #bodygoals on Instagram and sights of the world, giving us a hunger to travel because of FOMO.
Each of us are in our own race.
We all do not reach the same level at the same time nor are we suppose to, then life could be quite boring if we did it learn from the hard times.
Note to self: Be kinder, listen, give back, keep going and try to ignore the noise.
There is no problem with having goals every year or goals that change during the year and to some who just go with the flow, that is perfectly fine. Do you.
Please comment and share your thoughts on what goals or plans mean to you in 2019.
